		<description>Thanks for your thoughts Lorena! Much appreciated! I think you're onto something regarding change. Nursing is always changes...I think nurses need to learn how to embrace it, rather than run away.

When the discussed computer system was introduced at one particular hospital in the fall of 2005, there was a record number of retirements. The older nurses ran away. 

I wonder if I will be like that when I'm 65 :)</description>

I also think you're onto something regarding the ability of a unit to embrace change as an indicator of the unit's atmosphere.  There will always be those who want to stick their feet in the mud, but reality is the medical/nursing profession is constantly reshaping itself as we learn new things about the body, drugs and treatments.</description>
