And life spins on…
I received my acceptance letter to The University of Calgary Faculty of Nursing on Thursday. I must say that when I read the letter, I sat there emotionless and thought to myself “This is it? This is all I feel?” Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited, but I just feel anti-climatic about the issue. I’ve been dealing with the extreme difficulty of trying to get in for so long, that the struggle became more intense than the desired goal.
I think that made sense. Anyways, the real adventure will now begin. Over the next few months I counted five injections that I have to get…all sorts of vaccines…Plus security checks, a CPR course etc. All before September when I start doing practicums in the hospital.
For now though, work has been exciting. I started at Telus two weeks ago and am right in the middle of my training. I am absolutely loving EVERY minute of Telus. If anybody wants to work there, I highly recommend doing so. I could rave on forever about the greatness, but this is supposed to be a short entry. I’m still working at Starbucks though, but just on the weekend. I’m really only staying at Starbucks to get money to pay for my Boston trip, and to get cheap hotel rates.
I did in fact buy my plane tickets to Boston, and my health coverage!!! I might have mentioned that last time, but I thought I would reinforce that fact that there’s no turning back now. I can’t imagine any reason why I would though.
Tonight is the TM ritual, and I must say I can’t WAIT! It’s going to be a bigger crowd than usual, so that excites me.
I’m house sitting for my parents right now.
I’m talking to Paul online right now…he’s teaching me how to say more things with a Boston accent.
I’ve had Bare Naked Ladies songs stuck in my head all day.
That’s a pretty comprehensive update of my life right now!
