About Sean
I am a 29 year-old, gay, partnered nurse. I finished my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in December 2006. I am spent two years working on a busy surgical unit before making the move to the ICU in March 2008. So far it has been an extremely tough transition, but well worth it!
As for my personal interests, I love to play with my dog Charlie and take him for walks in the park. I am an avid television watcher; obsessed with reality and medical shows. This year I took up camping, and enjoyed it immensely. I adore David Lynch movies (Twin Peaks, Mulholland Dr.). And how could I forget to mention my love of Broadway musicals!
Feel free to contact me (Sean) by email at: owner@nursesean.com

Hi Sean,
I hope you don’t mind, but I have tagged you to complete a Meme on 5 things you can’t do or live without as a nurse. Have a look over on my blog for my 5 things.

Hey, thanks for the link! I didn’t realize you had linked to me until I was looking at my stats. I have reciprocated. Cute puppy, BTW.

You cant imagine how much money they spend trying to silence good people who will put their lives on the line to fight for change.

Nurse Sean-
I like your blog. It is well written an informative. You sound like a very intelligent and organized person. No doubt, your transition to superb critical care nurse will be smooth.
I hope to soon be following your footsteps. I graduate in 3 weeks, hopefully take NCLEX in July and if I am lucky, will start working in a trauma center SICU straight outta school, if I’m lucky. The idea of basic med surge makes me nauseas. I know, I know, build orginization skills get the basics down but I think I’ve got them down. I WANT CRITICAL CARE BABY!
Anyway, keep bloggin’, please keep sharing your knowledge. Thanks man!

I completely spelled nauseous wrong. My bad. Gotta be one of the harderst words in the worldd to spell. Somehow, nursing school has degraded my spelling abilites back to the 2nd grade. Too many abbreviations.

LOL! I’m an atrocious speller!!!
Be prepared for some HARD ASS WORK entering into critical care. Man, it smacks you upside the head with how brain-tough it can be.
But! It is so freackin’ fascinating, you can’t help but love it!

Hi Sean. I was just browsing the internet about ICU when I chanced upon your website. It’s great! By coincidence people call me Sean too. And I also happen to be an ICU nurse in Malaysia.
Keep up the good work.
Sean.
